Compensation
This position is hourly. The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $20.15 and $25.20.

Position Details
The Seller Support Specialist provides seller-facing operational support by coordinating sales support activities, researching products and systems, and preparing accurate customer-ready proposal materials. The role partners with Sellers, Sales Leaders, and internal teams to clarify needs, organize information across multiple touchpoints, and support timely issue resolution. The position follows established processes, applies sound judgment within defined guidelines, and helps improve seller experience through feedback and process improvement. The role supports consistent service delivery, accuracy, and responsiveness across the sales support workflow. Candidate must have prior Grainger CSC experience.
You Will
- Coordinates seller support activities across Sellers, Sales Leaders, and internal partners to support timely and accurate resolution of customer and sales support needs.
- Gathers and clarifies customer, product, and opportunity requirements to support proposal preparation and effective next-step coordination.
- Performs product, pricing, system, and process research using established resources and internal tools to support seller requests.
- Organizes, validates, and updates information from multiple systems and partners to produce accurate customer-ready sales support materials.
- Partners with Sales and internal service teams to communicate status, resolve issues, and maintain alignment on open opportunities.
- Applies established procedures and service standards to complete support work accurately, escalate exceptions, and maintain workflow quality.
- Identifies recurring issues and process gaps, shares observations with leadership, and supports continuous improvement efforts within the seller support process.
- Supports first-contact resolution when possible and routes work appropriately when additional review, research, or action is required.
You Have
-
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
-
2+ years prior customer service center experience required

Knowledge of customer service, contact center, or sales support processes used to manage requests, coordinate follow-up, and maintain service quality.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and related business tools used for data entry, sorting, formatting, review, and basic analysis.

Experience using Grainger internal systems (SOE, CRM, ERMS) and established procedures to research products, document activity, and prepare accurate support outputs.

Experience working with cross-functional partners to resolve customer or seller issues, manage priorities, and escalate exceptions appropriately.
